Finally going to pick up my new doggie today, His name is Kobe, he was rescued from Katrina in a house there by my friend Sharon (pictured) while she was working there doing animal rescue. They were literally breaking into peoples homes trying to find animals that had been abandoned when their owners left. (just to note, I don't say abandoned in a bad way — There just isn't a better word for it, I don't fault the owners for having to leave their animals behind). More good news, I found out today that the owner was finally contacted and has released him, so that it's not even going to be a foster.
Have to take a two-hour car ride tommorow to somewhere in Pennsylvania go get him.
