So I was browsing my feeds and came across this little announcement. Ooh, looks like the good ol' boys club of Stop the ACLU decided to hold a little online meet-and-greet (and gripe i'm sure).
I figured it was time for some infiltration. I fired up my web browser and after wrestling with the yahoo java chat client for a while I finally got in. And you know the old addage "what if I throw a party and no one shows up," well poor old jayster was feeling it tonight. I am/was the only one there.

We haven't gotten around to politics yet, i'm explaining to him why he should host the chat on IRC and not some dumb propritary software.
10:02 PM — regularron joins the chat with a hearty "welcome infadels" — i'm not sure if this is some kind of joke
10:10 PM — I have ethereal running and I will try to put up a log of the conversation later.
10:16 PM — ok, the jig is getting close to being up.
10:20 PM — crisis averted but they still havne't gotten around to talking about any stuff yet.
10:27 PM — Jay left, i think it's over — wow this stop the ACLU movement is HUGE. I imagine the ACLU people will just stop right now with everything and give up.

I really thought this would be interesting. quite a letdown. I'm not even going to bother posting the IRC log. It was total bollucks.
