Halloween
In honor of Halloween, I scrape the bottom of the internet barrel to bring you some of the craziest ideas about Halloween.
The first article in our scary escapade comes from champs-of-truth.com who proclaims:
Halloween is the first introduction for most children into the occult and is a major force in the spreading of satanic ritual murder in America today.
Druid priests led the people to diabolical worship ceremonies in which horses, cats, black sheep, oxen, human beings and other offerings were rounded up, stuffed into wicker cages and burned to death. This was done to appease Sambain and keep spirits from harming them. HALLOWEEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CELEBRATION OF DEATH.
This is the origin of bonfires. The word bonfire actually comes from "bone fire" which was all that was left after the sacrificial ceremonies were ended. Remember that next time you decide to have a bonfire at a social gathering.
Let's not forget that the entirety of Christianity is centered around human sacrifice. This reminds me of a conversation I had with someone around the time that The Passion of the Christ came out, this person was extremely angry about the fact that "the Jews killed Jesus", so I posed this question that would serve to shutup all such people, "Would you have been happier if they hadn't?" I mean, if the Romans had not killed Jesus, christianity would not exist, is this what they wanted?
And now from logosresourcepages.org which, and I didn't think this possible, is even more whacked than the last.
beneath Halloween's candy coating is a history of diabolical evil, evil that is directly connected to the occult and Satanism, evil that you need to be warned of!
exposure to sadism, sexual violence, satanism, torture, mutilation and bizarre murders causes our kids to become calloused to these behaviors. But, Harriet Kozkoff, a public TV producer told the press, "Entertainment is a powerful socializing agent in contemporary society. Slasher and horror movies…use violence and sexual arousal to maximize profits and are an inevitable prescription for conditioning sexual sadism into our pre-teen, teenage and young adult film fans."
Halloween is harmful because it lures people into the occult. Many children are introduced to occultic practices at Halloween parties. I first learned about the occult at a Halloween party as a teenager. Many kids get their first exposure to occultic horror movies at Halloween parties. After the initial exposure to the occult some children are attracted to the occult because of the power it offers them. Others see it as the ultimate means of rebelling against there parents.
This is the same argument that marijuana is a "gateway drug".
Let's think about this for a minute how did christianity, this 2000 year young religion, gain the right to criticize religions that are ten times older than it?
- Black & heavy metal music
- Fantasy Role playing games
- Slasher/horror movies & sadistic pornography
- Reading occult & satanic literature (Like Harry Potter)
While I will concede that any kind of pornography is probably inappropriate for children, I don't think that it's bad for children to read Harry Potter. Quite to the contrary, Harry Potter is a great book that I personally love to read.
snopes.com chimes in with some much needed reason.
- Needles/Razor Blades in Halloween Candy — Basically, snopes could only find ten cases of this, ever. And all of them were intra-family, not random strangers giving apples with razor blades to random children.
- Poisoned Halloween Candy — This is slightly more complicated, basically, there was only a single incident of this occurring, which was at a Halloween party in Somerdale, NJ, however this is more easily linked to food poisoning than intentional malfecence.
- Snopes.com generic halloween page

So, the moral of the story is this, go out on halloween, take your children trick-or-treating, and don't let right-wing religious zealots run your lives. And if I ever get a pumpkin (it somehow escaped us this year), i'm going to carve this into my pumpkin, but we never got one.
While searching for the above pic,I found this. Definitely NSFW.
