Into thin air
Aparantly people are stealing summit registers &emdash; summit registers are books left on the summit in waterproof containers, they contain the names and sometimes writings of the people who summited the mountian. The concept of summit registers dates back to the 1830's (and yes, I mean 1830), Many historical figures have signed the registers, one climber recalls finding a register first signed by Ansel Adams at the summit of Mt. Conness.
