I just dropped my laptop off to get repaired. The last repair (after the water debocale) wasn't done right. The mouse was sticky, the airport barely-functional, the optical drive totally non-functional and the ethernet… well the ethernet just behaved strangely.
So i left it with apple to get repaired. With luck I'll get it back friday, but i'm not holding my breath.
Even if I do get it back friday, i'm going to be at the beach specifically, Haven Beach.
I'm going to be there for the rest of august, so I won't be posting.
I'm unsure if i'll be going to the RNC Protest on August 29th, I may not be here, with the current trend towards marching to central park even if we don't get a permit…. I'm unsure if i'll go even if i'm here. But hey, there are going to be 250,000 protesters and only 36,000 police. Most police will be centered around Madison Square Garden. We can take the rest. I mean, seriously, if 250,000 people decide they want to rally in central park, there is nothing that the city can do to stop them. Short of calling in the national guard and using live ammo.
I'm editing this on one of the new Monitors from apple. Quite sweet.
The genius here booted my laptop over the ethernet, quite neat, something I have only ever seen done with linux before.
Anyway, i'll see you all in september.
