So I get to the apple store and while i'm waiting the NYCBUG: The New York City BSD users group shows up and starts their weekly meeting. I met the guy who runs the thing, george. Well anyway my time came at the genius bar (alibet almost an hour late, but the website informed my my appointment time might fluctuate by five minutes or so so it was all good) and I get up there and i got the same guy with whom I sparred about two or three months ago about replacing my power adapter after the store had officially closed. I knew I remembered him but to my suprise he remembered me, and was suprisingly quite nice and not just in a "I work here and you are a customer so I have to be nice to you" kind of way.
Steve (not jobs) proceeded to inform me that my repair would cost over a thoulsand dollars to start. I totally freaked out but what the hell am going to do?
As I stand here I came up with a genius idea… if george bush can get people to donate to his campaign online why not donate to me?

I'm currently editing this blog on two cinema displays attached to a dual 2ghz G5. that's cool. do you think anyone would notice if i just walked out with the whole thing?
I may just go buy this whole setup. I think the reality of how much money I just spent hasn't really sunk in yet.
I'm leaving before I purchase anything…
I obviously won't be posting blog entries for a few days… unless do you think they would let me live in the apple store until I get my laptop back?
